"THE LONELY, ONLY CHILD"
What is it like to be the only child? Without the
comparisons of brothers and sisters, what fills this void? We hear of imaginary
friends who come to the rescue, but are these entities truly imagined?
A young child is not yet hampered with logic and reason as it is applied
to the rules of our culture. Siblings would tend to minimize the need for
the unseen friend, while the only child would proceed uninhibited.
We all talk to ourselves as we discuss things
with someone not currently present. Now suppose in the course of such a
conversation we received fluent response? Perhaps only a small child could
successfully deal with this.
REFLECTIONS
is just such a story. Intended for the above average child under 8 years
of age, it was amazing the number of adults who admired this little story
book! One is never too young or too old to learn.
When a child is obliged to forfeit a Saturday
fishing trip because of rain, it is delightful to peek in on his fantastic
way of amusing himself.
REFLECTIONS is
a book for children and enjoyed by people of all ages!
